According to industry sources, the annual U.S. market for the management of wounds is estimated to be in excess of one billion dollars. Carrington Laboratories, Inc., has focused on the hydrogel segment of the wound care market and has about a 55 percent share of the hydrogel market. With the launch of its new freeze dried products and these added label indications, the company expects to achieve greater market penetration in the larger wound care marketplace.
