), today announced that it has purchased Slack Buckner Systems (SBS See Small Business Server. ), one of the leading manufacturers' representative firms offering heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) In the home or small office with a handful of computers, HVAC is more for human comfort than the machines. SBS will combine its commercial sales organization with Carrier-Bock. The combined companies will be known as Carrier North Texas. SBS founders Ken Slack and Jim Buckner will lead the enhanced sales organization, and together with Carrier North Texas general manager Tom Dodson will work to grow their presence in the local commercial marketplace.
