Carrie Hightman Media Statement October 10, 2006.CHICAGO -- After five and a half years with AT&T and its predecessor companies, I have decided that now is the perfect time for me to explore other opportunities in the Chicago business community. I am very proud of everything I accomplished during my tenure. Most recently, we secured unanimous regulatory approval of a landmark agreement to deregulate deregulate To reduce or eliminate control. One of the major forces in the financial markets in the 1970s and 1980s was the federal government's decision to deregulate interest rates. local phone service and offer competitive pricing in the metropolitan Chicago market. I was also pleased to have helped achieve several other major milestones for the company.
