Carrie C. Canter Joins Capital Institutional Services As Advisor to Firm's Domestic Equity Trading Desk.

Carrie C. Canter has joined Capital Institutional Services (CIS Cis (sĭs), same as Kish (1.)

), one of the nation's leading institutional brokers, as an advisor to the firm's domestic equity trading desk, where she will focus on expanding and strengthening all aspects of CIS's equity trading services.

Ms. Canter joins CIS from the Dallas firm Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney & Strauss, where she had been head equity trader since 1994. Before that, Ms. Canter was a staff attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the agency's Fort Worth office, focusing on securities fraud investigation. She was in private legal practice before joining the SEC.

Since 1977, CIS has provided global agency trading, electronic trading solutions and independent investment research services to asset managers and plan sponsors, serving more than 800 institutional clients throughout North America and Europe.

At CIS, Ms. Canter will work closely with Ralph Davis, CIS's director of sales and marketing, who oversees the firm's trading activities in the U.S. and abroad.
