Carreker-Antinori, ACS and Eastman Kodak Announce Alliance to Provide Financial Institutions with Internet-based Digitized Check Image Capabilities.

Carreker-Antinori, Inc. (NASDAQ: CANI), Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE: ACS) and Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) have announced an alliance to provide Internet access to digitized images of microfilm checks. This new service - Trac2Image(TM) - will allow banks and their customers to significantly reduce check losses, increase operational efficiencies and fee income, and improve operational decision-making capabilities.

The ability to access check images electronically at microfilm cost levels will pave the way for large-scale electronic clearing and check truncation. All participating parties in the check clearing process both customers and banks - will be able to view images captured by the bank of first deposit via the web. The open architecture design being utilized in Trac2Image will support Internet connectivity between all archives, both microfilm and image.

Mr. Carreker added, "Beginning first quarter 2000, it will also be possible to leverage existing microfilm archives as Electronic Check Presentment (ECP) and electronic check return notification (RNOTE) as functionality is implemented. The timely ECP and RNOTE data - augmented by digitized images of the checks - can be coupled with available fraud mitigation databases to help banks and their customers dramatically reduce check losses and processing costs."

For example, a check deposited by a retailer at a bank on Monday at 5 p.m. could be identified as fraudulent and an image of the check made available to the retailer via the Internet on Tuesday at 8 a.m. This is hours, and in many cases, days earlier than the physical check is typically returned to the bank of first deposit, and five to ten days before a physical check could be returned to the retailer.

Today more than 80 percent of the +60 billion checks deposited annually in the U.S. are captured on microfilm either by the bank of first deposit or their processing agent. ACS develops more than 80 percent of that film in many mature markets, and stores those images in its 550-acre protection and research facility. New micrographic technology and computer-aided image enhancing technology - developed by Kodak - will be used to dramatically improve the quality of digitized images available through this service.

Approximately 80 percent of the nation's top twenty banks' volume of check image retrieval from microfilm or image archive today utilize technology provided by Carreker-Antinori, either directly or through its recently announced alliance with Pegasystems, Inc.

Prototype planning is underway with full product availability to banks and their customers planned for the first quarter of 2000.
