During a row, Shirley Capp, 61, threatened her neighbour Marion Westerman, who saw Carr in tears just days after Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman disappeared.

Judge John Reddihough said yesterday jail was the only option for Capp, who was found guilty last month, or it would 'send out completely the wrong message'.

Capp, of Grimsby, Lincolnshire, showed no emotion at the sentence.

But her daughter, Hayley Hodgson, was in tears in the public gallery at Sheffield Crown Court.
