) announced today the formation of a Science and Technology Committee of the Board of Directors. The creation of this committee is a key component in driving Carpenter's enhanced commitment to growth and operational excellence through technology, innovation and process improvement.

The formation of the Science and Technology committee helps to ensure that Carpenter remains at the forefront of product and process innovation," stated Dr. Sunil Widge, Sr. Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Carpenter Technology.

Chairing the Science and Technology committee will be Carpenter Technology Board Member Dr. Jeffrey Wadsworth, Executive Vice President for Global Laboratory Operations, Battelle Memorial Institute The Battelle Memorial Institute is a private not-for-profit applied science and technology development company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
