:CRS) announced today that Marillyn A. Hewson, senior vice president for Corporate Shared Services at Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT LMT left mentotransverse (position of fetus). ), has been elected to the engineered materials company's Board of Directors.

As senior vice president of Corporate Shared Services, a position she has held since last year, Hewson, 48, is responsible for providing energy, environment, safety and health services, financial services, global supply chain management and human resources services to each of Lockheed Martin's business areas.

She has held previous positions at Lockheed Martin, including vice president, Global Supply Chain Management and vice president, Internal Audit. In addition, during her 19-year career at Lockheed Martin, Hewson has held various management positions in industrial engineering, operations control, business management and material management.

She holds a bachelor's degree in commerce and business administration and a master's degree in economics from the University of Alabama The University of Alabama (also known as Alabama, UA or colloquially as 'Bama) is a public coeducational university located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA. Carpenter will have three retiring directors at its October 28 annual meeting, which will bring the size of the company's Board to 12.
