Carpenter Announces New Chief Financial Officer.

WYOMISSING, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 26, 2001

:CRS) announced today that Terrence E. Geremski, formerly an executive vice president, chief financial officer (CFO See Chief Financial Officer. ) and a director at Guilford Mills, Inc. (NYSE:GFD), will become senior vice president - Finance and CFO at Carpenter, effective January 29.

Geremski, 53, left Guilford Mills after serving as CFO for eight years at the Greensboro, N.C., automotive and apparel fabric manufacturer. He previously served as vice president and corporate controller of the Varity Corporation, and vice president, CFO, secretary and treasurer of Morris Bean & Company, a private company that makes custom precision aluminum and iron castings.

Geremski, a CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000. , holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Toledo National recognition
