Nonprofit Addiction Treatment Center Pays Tribute to Satell's Support for Community Issues

PHILADELPHIA -- Caron Treatment Centers will honor Philadelphia Business leader Ed Satell with the 2009 Humanitarian of the Year award at the addiction treatment centers' Richard J. Caron Gala on Thursday, Oct. 29that 5:30 p.m. at the Crystal Tea Room.

The Richard J. Caron Humanitarian Award is presented to an individual who, in the estimation of the Caron Board of Directors, demonstrates the same spirit of caring and compassion exemplified by Caron's founder, the late Dick Caron.

The program provides children with the coping tools they need to live with an addicted parent or sibling, thus improving their self-esteem, empowering them to make healthy choices and opening new lines of communication with family members.
