Carols in the park planned.


Carols by candlelight are planned in Wilton Park Wilton Park is a government agency sponsored by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the United Kingdom[1].

Wilton Park began on 12 January 1946 as part of an initiative inspired by Sir Winston Churchill, who in 1944 called for Britain to help establish a
, Batley.

The event, on Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week.  December 11, starts at 3.30pm with a craft fair.

The open air carol concert will start at 4.30pm and last until 6pm.

People are being asked to take torches and candles to give light to the event, to be held on the putting green near the Bradford Road entrance.

The special guest will be the Bishop of Wakefield, the Right Rev Stephen Platten. Other guests giving readings include local MP Mike Wood.

Providing musical accompaniment will be the Central Methodist Music Group.
