She was the wife of the late Amancio Amos Simas, who died in 1993. She was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Antonio and Arsenia (Neves) Govea. She was employed by the Hudson Lock Co. in Hudson for many years as an assembler Software that translates assembly language into machine language.
