 chapter recently completed their 20042005 meeting season with a tour of Fairview Greenhouse and Garden Center in Raleigh, NC. Viewed as one of the top greenhouse operations in the state, owners Susan Collins

Susan Margaret Collins (born December 7 1952, in Caribou, Maine) is an American politician, the junior U.S. Senator from Maine and a Republican.
 and her son, Brad, shared valuable marketing perspectives of their business with NAMA members. The Collins family have completed a major renovation of the operation, which caters to seasonal flowers and plants, as well as various landscaping needs.

Carolinas/Virginia NAMA also presented three, $1,000 scholarship awards to agricultural marketing students who attend universities that affiliate with the C/V C/V Chaparral/Vulcan  NAMA chapter. This year's winners include: Sara Rose Bradshaw, Virginia Tech University; Harry Sutton, Jr., North Carolina A&T University; and Melanie Smith, North Carolina State University History
