Carole A. Scott.


LUNENBURG - Carole A. Scott, 73, of Lunenburg, passed away on Saturday, March 21, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was the daughter of the late Arthur R. Roche and Sarah (Reardon) Roche. The eldest of five siblings, she was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher, who drowned in a swimming accident in 1958. Surviving siblings are Rhoda Carrachino of Milford, Leona O'Neil of Hudson, and Arthur Roche of Clinton.

She was the wife of Roger A. Scott Jr., who passed away in 2001. They resided in Hudson until 1977 when they moved to Clinton, where they owned and operated Scottie's Restaurant.

She was also employed by H&R Block in Clinton for 18 years. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1953 and attended Framingham State College.

Her surviving eight children include Mike Scott and his wife, Terry, of Camden, S.C., Roger Scott, III and his wife, Barbara, of Amelia, Va., Sheree Willey of Portland, Ore., Christine Zilembo of Chesterfield, Va., Kimberly Maddocks and her husband, Donnie, of Clinton, Cindy Willoughby and her husband, Scott, of Clinton, Jeff Scott and his wife, Michele, of Clinton, and Jason Scott and his wife, Kim, of Portsmouth, N.H. A special thanks to Debi Melendy, who has been like a daughter to her and has been very helpful through these trying times.

One of her 14 grandchildren, Heather Scott, preceded her in death in 1974. She passed away when she was one month old.

Her 13 surviving grandchildren are Jennifer Scott of Amelia, Va., Mike Scott Jr. of Quincy, Jaimie MacInnis of Portland, Ore., Shawn Scott of Boston, Raymond Zilembo of Chesterfield, Va., Scott Willoughby Jr. of Florida, Christopher Willoughby of Clinton, Donald Maddocks III of Clinton, Tristen Scott of Lunenburg, Jonathan Maddocks of Clinton, Sarah Willey of Portland, Ore., Paige Willoughby of Clinton and Spencer Scott of Lunenburg.

She leaves two great-grandchildren, Isabel Scott, who resides with her parents in Quincy, and Molly Kolbow, who resides with her parents in Portland, Ore.

Her funeral was held on Tuesday, March 24, with a service in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton. Burial followed in Reservoir Pines Cemetery, Clinton.
