Klimas, a respected and recognized leader in both the private and public sectors, has been named president of Lake Ridge Academy Lake Ridge Academy (LRA) is an independent K-12 school in North Ridgeville, Ohio, United States, founded in 1963. The only independent school on the west side of Cleveland, Lake Ridge is one of the smaller private schools in the Cleveland area, with approximately 435 , its board of directors announced today.

Lake Ridge Academy is an independent, co-educational day school with students in kindergarten through grade 12. It is the largest such school on Cleveland's west side.

Klimas has served most recently as executive vice president and head of KeyCorp's Wealth Management Segment, a national business unit based in Cleveland.

Carol brings outstanding credentials in terms of leadership, organizational skills and financial acumen to this position. Most important, the board was impressed with her passion for children and the quality of their education."

As head of KeyCorp's Wealth Management Segment, she had overall responsibility for three businesses: Key Private Bank, Key Investment Services and Key Wealth Management. As the former chair of the National Arthritis Foundation, she led a financial and organizational turnaround and began its transformation in a leading non-profit institution. In that capacity, she also worked closely with internal and external constituencies for the benefit of the organization.

A dedicated community servant, she continues to serve as a trustee of the National Arthritis Foundation and as an executive committee member of the Northeastern Ohio Chapter of the Red Cross. She has also won numerous community service awards, including those from United Way and the YWCA YWCA
