Carol Halstead, 1941-2002. (News and Information).


Liberal Education Editorial Advisory Board Member Carol Halstead For the village in Kent, see .  died on May 20, 2002. A leader in the field of education communications, she served as vice president at the College Board for more than a decade. In 1980 she founded College Connections (later Halstead Communications), an organization for public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  and marketing communications Marketing communications (or marcom) are messages and related media used to communicate with a market. Those who practice advertising, branding, direct marketing, graphic design, marketing, packaging, promotion, publicity, sponsorship, public relations, sales, sales  for education. A friend and supporter of the Association, she joined the Editorial Advisory Board of Liberal Education in 1998. We remember her with deep appreciation.
