JAZZ singer Carol Harvey-Barnes aims to hit the right notes when she launches a programme of free concerts.

Carol and Keith Farr will launch the first of five weekly concerts which will run from from 2.30pm to 5pm.

Coun Louise Harrison, Walsall Council cabinet member for leisure and culture, said: "There is nothing quite like a Sunday afternoon concert and the Arboretum is a perfect setting.

"We've had a lot of requests for concerts.

"It's something that has really proved popular with people and we are only too happy to comply."
