Caro, who currently serves as vice president for Beckman Coulter's Hematology Development Center, has been promoted to oversee development activities for hematology, clinical chemistry and immunodiagnostics products. This includes establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with the scientific community. The new group vice president, who reports to Albert Ziegler, president of the Clinical Diagnostics Division, will also be responsible for the activities of the worldwide strategic marketing team. "Bringing product development and strategic marketing together under a single individual provides for more internal alignment to meet customer needs for total testing solutions worldwide," said Ziegler.
