Carnival initially will use Websense Enterprise, integrated with Microsoft ISA Server, to manage Web use for more than 3,000 Internet-enabled employees at the company's corporate headquarters in Miami. The company also plans to roll out Websense software in other office locations and on its fleet of ships.

"We chose Websense because it was by far the best Internet filtering product on the market. With its ease of management, comprehensive and flexible features and ability to integrate with a host of products, it was the obvious choice to make the Net more productive for our employees," said Rodney Orange, lead systems engineer, Carnival Cruise Lines. "Satellite Web use on our ships is very expensive, so it's important we don't hinder the uplink with inappropriate or irrelevant Internet content. We envision Websense will help us to greatly ease that burden."

Carnival Cruise Lines is one of more than 15,000 organizations worldwide using Websense Enterprise software to create a more productive workplace. The flexibility of Websense software and its ability to tightly integrate with technology leaders -- such as Cisco, Check Point and Microsoft -- make it the de facto [Latin, In fact.] In fact, in deed, actually.

"Increasingly, customers are choosing full-featured EIM software solutions -- not simple filtering software packages -- to manage employee use of the Web at work," said Curtis H. Staker, executive vice president of worldwide sales, Websense. "Leaders in their industries, such as Carnival Cruise Lines, continue to choose Websense over our less adaptive, less scalable competitors."
