Carnival Air Lines to enter Washington, D.C. market with daily non-stops between Dulles and Fort Lauderdale.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 6, 1996--Carnival Air Lines will enter the Washington, D.C. market this winter with a daily non-stop flight between Washington Dulles International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport starting Dec. 19.

Fares start at $79 each way and do not require advance purchase, Saturday night stay or round-trip purchase.

Flights will depart Dulles at 8:30 a.m., arriving in Fort Lauderdale at 11 a.m. Flights to Dulles will depart Fort Lauderdale at 7:30 p.m., arriving at 10:25 p.m. The route will be served by a Boeing 737-400 accommodating 159 passengers in an all coach configuration.

"Washington, D.C. is an exciting addition to our route map, which already includes six other destinations in the Northeast," said Carnival Air Lines Vice President of Sales and Marketing Hector Burga.
