Carnival Air Lines takes Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival to new heights.


FORT LAUDERDALE Fort Lauderdale (lô`dərdāl), residential, commercial, and resort city (1990 pop. 149,377), seat of Broward co., SE Fla., on the Atlantic coast; settled around a fort built (c.1837) in the Seminole War, inc. 1911. , Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 1995--Carnival Air Lines and the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival are celebrating 100 years of film history by creating a little history of their own.

Next month, the airline will be the first to screen an official festival entry in-flight during the "Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in the Skies."

 to Fort Lauderdale (on aircraft with video capabilities). The movie will be shown at no charge to passengers, who will also receive an event program and a discounted ticket to the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival which is being held at various South Florida theaters Nov. 1 through 19.

The Film Festival in the Skies takes off on Nov. 2 with an in-flight black-tie premier, press conference and film cutting ceremony on Carnival Air Lines Carnival Air Lines was a charter and low-cost air division of Carnival Cruise Lines started in 1988 after Carnival Cruise Lines purchased Pacific Interstate Airlines.
