Carnegie Bancorp earnings up 10% over prior year.


PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 1996--CARNEGIE BANCORP (NASDAQ/NMS: CBNJ CBNJ Community Bancorp of New Jersey , CBNJW) CARNEGIE BANCORP announced that it had earned income Sources of money derived from the labor, professional service, or entrepreneurship of an individual taxpayer as opposed to funds generated by investments, dividends, and interest.  after taxes for the quarter ended March 31, 1996 of $606,000, compared to $552,000 for the same period last year, an increase of 10%.

Primary and fully diluted net income per share for the first quarter of 1996 was $.32, compared to $.32 per share for both primary and fully diluted net income for the first quarter in 1995.

Shares outstanding increased to 1,754,441 at March 31, 1996, compared to 1,746,848 at March 31, 1995.

As of March 31, 1996, total loans increased to over $180 million, or an increase of 23% over the same period last year. CARNEGIE posted over $268 million in total assets and over $235 million in total deposits, increases of 27% and 24% respectively, compared to 1995.
