PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 1, 1998--Carnegie Bancorp announced that proxy materials Proxy Materials

The proxy materials provide information regarding the proposed merger between Carnegie Bancorp and Sovereign Bancorp Inc. Carnegie shareholders will vote on the merger proposal at Carnegie's Annual Meeting of Shareholders on Thursday, July 30, 1998, 4:00 p.m., at the Carnegie Bank, N.A. headquarters located at 619 Alexander Road, Princeton, N.J.
