The Carlyle Group is a Washington, D.C.
 and Davidson Hotel Company, announced that the two companies have formed a joint venture and acquired the Houston Sofitel Hotel from Accor Worldwide, out of Paris, France, for an undisclosed amount.

Davidson holds a minority interest in the partnership and will manage the property.
