The Carlyle Group is a Washington, D.C.
 has acquired a 50 per cent stake in TVK TVK Tiszai Vegyi Kombinat (Hungary)  Shipyard (TVK), a Turkish shipbuilder specialising in chemical tankers and other speciality vessels.

This is Carlyle's first investment in Turkey and it is designed to allow the group to take advantage of opportunities across the MENA MENA Middle East & North Africa
