Carlson Wagonlit Travel Wins Price Waterhouse Account.

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 1995--Carlson Wagonlit Travel has been awarded the travel management account for Price Waterhouse LLP, based in New York. Price Waterhouse disclosed annual air volume of $73 million.

Carlson Wagonlit will begin handling Price Waterhouse's more than 14,000 travelers in January out of two dedicated call centers in Tampa, Fla. and Rolling Meadows, Ill.

"This is the first time we put our account out to bid since we consolidated our travel over seven years ago," said Mark Williams, director, Travel, Price Waterhouse. "We felt that with the recent changes in the industry, the time was right to re-evaluate our position in this rapidly changing market. We believe that in the new environment, travel management firms need to be flexible, creative, and totally customer-focused."

Price Waterhouse specializes in accounting, audit, tax and management consulting services. It has approximately 110 locations in the U.S. Its travel management account was previously handled by American Express.
