Emmy, ACE and multi-Billboard Magazine awards winner Carlos Ponce Carlos Armando Ponce, Jr. (b. September 4 1972, Santurce, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican actor, singer, composer and TV personality, known as simply Carlos Ponce. He currently stars in the Telemundo serial Dame Chocolate (Give Me Chocolate).  has been added to the list of performing artists for the inaugural "Premios Fox Sports" awards show that honors the achievements of U.S. Hispanic and Latin American athletes. She has appeared in HBO's Arli$$, a show about a sports agency.

Carlos Ponce is one of the few artists that have made the successful crossover from actor to singer. He began making commercials at the age of six, and at age 18 got his big acting break in a Spanish language soap opera. In 1998, Carlos decided to pursue his singing career by releasing his first self-titled album that landed him recognition as "Best Pop Album", New Artist" and "Best New Artist" by Billboard Magazine. He has since released another album with much of the same success and is currently making the transition back to acting. Earlier this year he was seen in the hit comedy "Chasing Papi" with fellow "Premios" performer Roselyn Sanchez. Most recently he was contracted as an "Entertainment Tonight" personality.

Hosting this first-ever awards show are broadcast veterans Margarita Wais and Pablo Carrillo. Wais has anchored Fox Sports Noticias, which can be seen nightly in the U.S. on Fox Sports en Espanol, since 1999. Margarita is a former Argentine national squash champion and represented Argentina in the 1995 Panamerican Games. Margarita launched her television career in 1997 as host of a sports and rock music-themed programming before moving onto a daily show about women in sports called "Movete con Georgina."

Pablo Carrillo has over 20 years of experience in sports broadcasting. He began his career as a college and professional football commentator on channel 13 in Mexico that is now known as TV Azteca. Since then, he has had a long and fruitful career as a commentator, sports broadcaster and host of a variety of sports programs including a ten-year reign as host of "Score Final." Pablo now hosts his own show, "Palabra del Deporte," that is televised on Mondays in the U.S. on Fox Sports en Espanol, and is seen from Monday through Friday on Fox Sports Latin America.

Joining the list of talented entertainers and performers scheduled to walk the "Premios Fox Sports" red carpet on December 17 are some of today's most accomplished Hispanic and Latin American athletes; they include: Esteban Loaiza, Ivan Rodriquez, Adrian Fernandez, Jose Saturino Cardozo, Juan Sebastion Veron, Jose Luis Chilavert, Carlos Alberto Tevez, Ariel Graziani, Gabriela Sabatini, Paola Suarez, Mauricio Cienfuegos, Mary Joe Fernandez, Carlos Valderrama, Vicente Fernandez, Milka Duno and Carlos Franco. In addition to distinguished sports luminaries, network show personalities Samuel Jacobo, Luis Rodriquez, Fernando Niembro, Carlos S. Bilardo and Celines Toribio have been added as award presenters.

Presenters previously announced include Susie Castillo, Miss USA 2003, Barbara Palacios, Miss Universe 1986, Patricia Manterola and Roselyn Sanchez.
