Carlile Transportation System expands operations.


Carlile Transportation Systems has acquired Keytrans KeyTrans an online transliteration tool developed by T6 Labs. It enables the user to write text in Indian and other non Latin alphabet-based languages, using English characters.  Inc., an Alaska-based transportation company serving Alaska Alaska (əlă`skə), largest in area of the United States but third smallest (exceeding only Vermont and Wyoming) in population, occupying the northwest extremity of the North American continent, separated from the coterminous United States  and the Pacific Northwest for 30 years. With the addition of Keytrans Inc., Carlile's transportation system network will be enhanced through greater freight-tracking visibility and reporting tools via the Internet Internet

Publicly accessible computer network connecting many smaller networks from around the world. It grew out of a U.S. Defense Department program called ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network), established in 1969 with connections between computers at the
 and nine terminals throughout Alaska, Canada and the continental United States United States territory, including the adjacent territorial waters, located within North America between Canada and Mexico. Also called CONUS. .

Carlile also said the company's employee base has grown to 535 employees companywide.

Keytrans' employees, service commitments, rates, and systems will be integrated into the Carlile system ensuring a smooth transition for customers, company officials said. All freight moves are invoiced by Carlile Transportation Systems.

As part of Carlile's 25th anniversary celebration during 2006, the company has also expanded its operations at the Port of Tacoma A major gateway to Asia and Alaska, the Port of Tacoma is a leading North American seaport, handling more than $35.6 billion in annual trade and nearly 2.1 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent container Units) in 2006.  with the construction and grand opening of a new, state-of-the-art terminal.
