Carjack victim's eye socket fractured.


CAR thieves fractured a man's eye socket after he tried to stop them stealing his vehicle.

The 45-year-old victim was walking towards his red Audi S3 Quattro, in High View Road, Leamington, when the pair approached him.

They hit him in the face, knocking him to the ground, before clambering into his car and starting the engine.

 - but was thrown to the ground as the offenders drove off at speed, escaping in the direction of Princethorpe and Rugby.

The robbers struck on Tuesday, at about 6.50pm.
