A CARE manager has been appointed at a housing scheme. Milecastle Housing appointed Julie Sedgewick at The Manors, which is set to open in Prudhoe this summer.

The housing scheme will provide older residents with care and support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services , regular social activities and reliable security while at the same time allowing them to maintain their independence.

Julie will work alongside a care team of qualified and experienced staff and other local organisations to ensure residents at The Manor receive the very best help and support they need.

Julie brings 20 years of experience in nursing and residential care services in Northumberland.

She moves from another post at Milecastle Housing, where she has worked for four years as a scheme officer at Trinity Trinity, doctrine in Christianity

Julie said: "This fantastic 'extra care' scheme is designed to promote independence, choice and care, aligned with an understanding that people's needs do change and I jumped at the chance to be part of it."

The facility will comprise 46 affordable flats, 34 for rent and 12 for shared ownership, providing elderly occupiers with their own home, a restaurant and a range of leisure activities, as well as a dedicated site care team - on hand 24 hours a day.

Support manager, Alison Urquhart said: "It is fantastic to have Julie on board. She is a key member of the team working on this project.

"We recognise that successful extra care schemes are a balance of housing, care and support services.

"Residents will be involved and consulted on an ongoing basis about the services that they receive and the activities provided, ensuring that the new development meets the requirements and aspirations aspirations nplaspiraciones fpl (= ambition); ambición f

 of its residents."
