Carina Chocano Joins Los Angeles Times as Television Critic.Entertainment Editors/Business Editors LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 4, 2003 Carina Carina (kərē`nə) [Lat.,=the keel], southern constellation, representing the keel of the ancient constellation Argo Navis, or Ship of the Argonauts. Carina contains Canopus, the second brightest star in the sky. Chocano, who most recently served as a critic and staff writer at Entertainment Weekly, has joined the Los Angeles Times Los Angeles Times Morning daily newspaper. Established in 1881, it was purchased and incorporated in 1884 by Harrison Gray Otis (1837–1917) under The Times-Mirror Co. (the hyphen was later dropped from the name). as television critic, it was announced by John Montorio, deputy managing editor for features.
