Cargill Inc. announced it would buy control of Brazil's third-largest meat company, Seara Alimentos SA, in a deal that would open Brazilian meat markets to Cargill and could boost Brazil's meat exports.


Cargill Cargill, Incorporated is a privately held, multinational corporation, and is based in the state of Minnesota in the United States. It was founded in 1865, and has grown into the world's second largest privately held corporation (in terms of revenue).  Inc. announced it would buy control of Brazil's third-largest meat company, Seara Alimentos SA, in a deal that would open Brazilian meat markets to Cargill and could boost Brazil's meat exports. In a $130 million deal, Cargill would purchase a 62 percent stake in Seara from Bevrexas BV, a Dutch subsidiary of Mutual Investment Ltd., which is itself controlled by the world's top oilseed oilseed
