Kathleen M. Bader is named chairman, president and chief executive of Cargill Dow LLC, a joint venture of Dow Chemical Co. and Cargill Inc. Bader replaces Randy Howard, who retired earlier in 2004, as Cargill Dow president and chief executive. The chairman's position is new at the joint venture. Bader has been with Dow Chemical since 1973 and was named vice president for quality and business excellence in 1999. In 2000, Dow appointed her business group president for styrenics and engineered products, which represents a $4 billion portfolio.
