Caretaker cancelled after star falls ill.A SOLD-OUT performance of The Caretaker was cancelled last night after its star Jonathan Pryce fell ill. Tonight's show at the Everyman has also been cancelled as a precaution, although it is not believed its 62-year-old star is seriously ill. A spokeswoman for the Hope Street theatre said it was contacting all ticketholders for the performance to offer them tickets for another night. Playwright Harold Pinter's classic opened to rave reviews two weeks ago and is due to run until October 31.
