Careers boost at our big roadshow.


Top tips on kick-starting a successful career will be on offer at this year's Evening Gazette Job Scene Roadshow.

The event, which attracts top names in employment and training, will take place on Wednesday, February 25, at Middlesbrough Town Hall from 10.30am until 7pm.

Visitors will be able to find out about job opportunities, how to write a winning CV, how to impress at interviews and information about training and lifelong learning will be available at a dedicated Learning Village.

Exhibitors will include Archon 2000, Barclays, BBC BBC
 in full British Broadcasting Corp.

Dorothy Bowmaker, district marketing manager for Jobcentre Plus, said: "We will be bringing a plasma screen advertising our vacancies and also a board with hard copy vacancies that customers can look at and apply for on the day.

"We will have advisers available on the day to give advice about the range of services Jobcentre Plus provides which includes the range of New Deal Programmes for all ages and help to get those people who have been on incapacity benefit back into work."

Admission to the event is free and everybody is welcome.
