CareerMosaic Launches Online Job Fair On Yahoo! for South Florida; Cyberevent for South Florida Job Seekers Will Run Through July 20.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 1998--CareerMosaic(R) (www.careermosaic.com), the leading site for professional jobs on the Internet See How to find a job on the Internet and job descriptions. , today launched an online job fair in South Florida on Yahoo!(R) (www.yahoo.com), the single largest navigational guide to the Internet.

The event, which will run through July 20, is part of a series of online job fairs targeting major U.S. and international job markets. Employers participating in the South Florida job fair are American Express American Express (NYSE: AXP), sometimes known as "AmEx" or "Amex", is a diversified global financial services company, headquartered in New York City. The online fairs are part of a multimillion dollar global advertising agreement announced in November, 1997 and are the first of their kind for online recruiting on Yahoo!.

The job fairs, which began in January, will be held on all Yahoo! Metro sites, in 12 major U.S. markets; on Yahoo!'s main site; and in native languages in locations around the world where both Yahoo! and CareerMosaic have sites. The fairs will be announced by banners on each Yahoo! Metro home page, and featured on CareerMosaic's home page as well as on various other pages throughout Yahoo! and CareerMosaic. Each corporate logo will take users to a page with information on each company, job openings, and an online response form.
