Career education.


The American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of  Youth Policy Forum has released a white paper presenting a new vision of how federal funding for career and technical education should be allocated and used.

 and Relevance: A New Vision for Career and Technical Education" recommends federal funding be allocated on a competitive basis to schools, school districts, area vocational schools and community colleges to develop comprehensive programs of study that start in 9th grade and continue to postsecondary education. Programs of study also would have a strong academic component.
