Career Education Corporation Completes Acquisition of Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago.

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2000

Career Education Corporation (Nasdaq:CECO) today announced it has completed its acquisition of the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago (CHIC), located on Chicago's Near North side. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The school, which has approximately 700 students, will continue to operate under its current name.
