CareWise to provide health counseling to PHS members.

PHS, a leading managed care organization based in Shelton, Conn., has already enrolled 32,000 of its members in CareWise Inc. programs on a trial basis during the past year. Based on the results of the trial, PHS has agreed to enroll approximately 300,000 additional members with CareWise Inc.

CareWise Inc. will provide an array of programs to PHS members, including the award-winning CareWise(R) program, which integrates consumer-oriented information, tested communication materials and 24-hour confidential, telephone nurse counseling. Other services will include the CareWise Audio Library and BabyWise(R), a risk-assessment and telephone nurse counseling program for expectant mothers.
