CareWise, Inc. wins new contracts for providing health counseling services.

A part of the Lutheran Healthcare Network, Lutheran PHO will use CareWise telephone counseling telephone counseling The provision of advice and verbalized moral support to a person with a particular need by a group of either volunteers or a paid staff with some level of experience and/or expertise in the area of interest; TC may include crisis  to augment the services of its 100 primary care physicians on after-hours, weekend and holiday calls. Initially serving 5,000 capitated members, the service will be extended to a total of 25,000 members over the next six months. The organization's goal is to reduce emergency room utilization and hospital days, especially among high-risk seniors who frequently wait too long before seeking medical care.
