CareWise, Inc. Selected to Offer Health Counseling Services to Idaho's State Medicaid Division.


SEATTLE--(BW HealthWire)--June 22, 1998--CareWise, Inc. has been selected as the successful bidder to provide demand and disease management services to the State of Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Medicaid Medicaid, national health insurance program in the United States for low-income persons; established in 1965 with passage of the Social Security Amendments and now run by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. .

A formal contract is expected to be finalized See finalization.  later this month. As part of the agreement, CareWise, Inc. will provide access to its CareWise(R) program to approximately 80,000 Medicaid recipients. The award-winning program integrates consumer-oriented medical information, tested communication materials and telephone nurse counseling. Available 24 hours a day through a toll-free number, registered nurses provide decision counseling to callers by helping them access the appropriate level of care at the appropriate time.
