What: CareScience 2005 National Conference, "Quality in Motion:
Achieving Success through Care Management Innovation." The
CareScience 2005 National Conference will be organized around
four key session tracks covering topics critical to quality,
operational and financial initiatives, including:
-- Quality and Performance Improvement: Sessions will draw
from the experience and success of colleagues and national
leaders in translating data into meaningful information
used by clinicians to improve care processes, reduce
complications, improve compliance with evidence-based
medicine and improve information handling.
-- Leadership & Strategy: This track will focus on
interaction with industry leaders to learn how they drive
their organizations to build the necessary environment for
quality, and achieve significant clinical, operational and
financial impact.
-- Pay for Performance: Sessions will discuss and evaluate
the most common forms of incentives applied to date
including Cost Differentials, Reduced Administrative
Oversight and Overhead, Public Disclosure and Payment
Differentials.
-- Patient Safety: This track will focus on the application
of clinical outcomes data as well as other data that is
linked to patient safety, quality and clinical results.
During the conference, CareScience will present the 2005
CareScience "Top Performer" awards to those facilities that
demonstrated leadership and outstanding overall clinical outcomes in
specific clinical care areas. The award recognizes care process and
clinical outcomes as measured by quality and efficiency, including
such metrics as complication rate, mortality and length-of-stay.
The conference will provide an open environment for the discussion
of industry growth, innovation, and achievement in the areas of
quality and care management, regulatory and public reporting and
patient safety.
