CareMedic Systems Announces Interface with Dairyland; Allows Real-Time Medical Necessity Compliance Checking.


ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- CareMedic Systems, Inc. and Dairyland Healthcare Solutions today announced that the two companies have created a standard interface to enable their joint clients to perform medical necessity compliance checking via CareMedic's newest Web-based application See Web application. . Medical necessity compliance checking allows healthcare providers to determine whether outpatient services outpatient services Hospital-based services Managed care Medical and other services provided, to a nonadmitted Pt, by a hospital or other qualified facility–eg, mental health clinic, rural health clinic, mobile X-ray unit, free-standing dialysis unit Examples  they provide are allowable under Medicare.

Under the agreement, Dairyland's Order Entry System provides facilities with an interface to CareMedic's ComplyAR(R), which contains an automated au·to·mate
