Anne's husband walked out on her when her daughter Diane was a teenager ( and since then a huge network of support from friends and relatives has dwindled. "Many of my relatives are no longer here or are too frail frail 1 adj. frail·er, frail·est 1. Physically weak; delicate: an invalid's frail body. 2. and elderly to help," she said. "I wouldn't be able to cope without my friends at the Carers' Centre. They understand how difficult it can be at times."
