Care Concepts announces appointment of Michael Cummings as chief financial officer.

) announced Thursday the appointment of Michael A. Cummings as chief financial officer.

Cummings, a CPA, has over 25 years experience in manufacturing organizations, gained from both public accounting and private business. He received his B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley, and his M.S. Industrial Administration from the Krannert School, Purdue University.

After several years as Audit Manager and manufacturing consultant for Ernst & Young and other firms, Cummings served as controller and chief financial officer for several manufacturing organizations in the Valley of the Sun.

In announcing the appointment, Jack D. Kelley, president, stated, "We are very pleased to have been able to add a manufacturing professional of Mr. Cummings' stature to the management team at Care Concepts as we prepare for our projected sales growth over the next two years.

"Mr. Cummings brings to us a wealth of real world, practical experience not only in accounting and finance, but manufacturing systems as well. He will play a key role in reducing both our manufacturing costs and long-term structural costs as we grow, as well as being a valuable resource to our manufacturing personnel."

Care Concepts is the industry leader in manufacturing the "CareVan," a minivan designed to suit the needs of the wheelchair user, the elderly and others who are physically challenged.
