CardioVascular Associates Selects Allscripts for Electronic Health Record; One of Largest Cardiovascular Practices in the Southeast to Enhance Disease Management with TouchWorks EHR.

CHICAGO & BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Allscripts (Nasdaq:MDRX), the leading provider of clinical software, connectivity and information solutions that physicians use to improve healthcare, announced today that CardioVascular Associates - one of the largest and most respected cardiology groups in the Southeastern U.S. - will deploy the TouchWorks(TM) Electronic Health Record. The Allscripts solution will connect the physician group's 38 providers across eight locations, enabling the automation of everyday clinical tasks and more aggressive tracking and management of chronic heart disease.
