CardioNet Raises an Additional $13 Million of Venture Capital.

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 9, 2003

CardioNet Inc., a private company headquartered in San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay. , today announced that it had raised a total of $13 million in an expansion of its C round of venture financing, bringing the total amount raised in that round to $32 million.

The company is also engaged in discussions with potential new investors. CardioNet's board of directors has authorized the company to raise up to an additional $5 million before closing the C Round.

CardioNet said that it would use the proceeds of the financing to expand its services to new markets.
