ECG
Also called an electrocardiogram, it records the electrical activity of the heart.
 Management System ("GEMS"). The SQL Server(TM) version of GEMS is the next logical step to facilitate the requirements of large scale users who require large amounts of patient data to be managed and stored. The Company plans to officially launch the enterprise version utilizing the Microsoft(R) SQL Server(TM) during the week of September 13 to coincide with the next Microsoft(R) HealthCare Users Group conference.

) since 1993. All of CardioComm's software has been developed using Microsoft development tools. In addition, CardioComm has created ActiveX Controls for ECG management which are reusable modular development tools that can be incorporated into other companies' database systems / electronic patient record systems giving them the power to perform ECG management.

CardioComm's patented and proprietary ECG compression algorithm is utilized in products designed to record, analyze, and store electrocardiogram electrocardiogram /elec·tro·car·dio·gram/ (-kahr´de-o-gram?) a graphic tracing of the variations in electrical potential caused by the excitation of the heart muscle and detected at the body surface.  (ECG) signals for the detection and management of disorders related to heart rhythm, known as cardiac arrhythmias. The Company's software, which is Y2K compliant, enables transtelephonic monitoring of arrhythmia and/or pacemaker implant patients, and provides acquisition, storage and display of ECG information. The basis of CardioComm's management system is Mercator, which was cleared for use and sale in the United States by the F.D.A. in January. Mercator is marketed as Global ECG Management System (GEMS).
