For the May-to-May period, the Washington area added 53,200 jobs. The number of area residents who held jobs in May also increased, rising 38,200 from May 2006. These new resident workers reflect population growth and increased labor force participation rates." Continuing its close collaboration with George Mason University, Cardinal Bank will again sponsor the annual Cardinal Bank/George Mason University Conference for the Greater Washington Area Economy.
