Cardinal Bank Hosts Japanese Banking Delegation.

TYSONS CORNER, Va. -- Cardinal Bank (NASDAQ:CFNL) in cooperation with the Virginia Bankers Association (VBA) hosted a delegation of Japanese bankers at its headquarters in McLean, VA. The contingent of 15 Japanese bankers is visiting the U.S. to study community banking trends. As part of their educational tour in the metropolitan regions of Washington, DC, New York and Chicago, the delegation is interested in learning the strategies U.S. banks employ to connect with the local community, compete successfully while differentiating themselves from large competitors, secure and manage customer personal information, among other topics. The group included director and managerial-level representatives from 13 regional and community banks in Japan.

The Japanese bankers have a strong interest in visiting banks that have excellent reputations for active service to the communities they serve. Other topics of discussion included Cardinal Bank's innovative products and services such as "Go Cardinal Mobile Banking", and Human Resources relations and benefits, compensation and the employee evaluation process. As one of the Best Places to Work in Greater Washington, Cardinal focuses on helping its employees reach their full potential and strives to provide a rewarding work environment.

"This opportunity facilitates a better understanding of our diverse financial system and serves to foster good communications between our respective countries," said Cardinal Financial Chairman and CEO and VBA Chairman Bernard H. Clineburg.
